The Tweed is globally renowned as one of the most respected salmon angling streams in Scotland as well as although renowned for its big salmon runs in the fall it also generates some outstanding spring operates on the much lower beats as very early as February. Come March and April salmon can be located on many beats throughout the system and fishes extremely well throughout the summer season months. The main salmon runs occur during the autumn months and last till the end of the period in Nov.
